Angela's Graduation - Yeah

We are all very proud of Angela and the hard work she put into the past 7 years carrying a 4.0 every year. Angela was sad that Brian couldn't be there to share in her accomplishment but he was out to sea. She graduated with highest Academic Honors and received a Gold Cord. Wow - Brains AND Beauty! ;)

Grandma's visit June '08 to see Grand Kids

I had an opportunity to go see Brian, Danae and my wonderful Grand kids in June. We went to Red Robin for Ethan's belated birthday dinner. Had fun and got to see their beautiful new home and got to go to the great park by their house to take pictures before grandma had to fly home. Here are some I took and wanted to share.
BTW - Ethan is the photographer that took the picture of Brian & I. Maybe he is going to follow in his mommy's foot steps and take up photography like her.

Visiting Grandma in Colorado

I had a wonderful xmas. Brian, Danae & the kids were able to come visit a few days the week-end before xmas. What a great surprise. They came over for dinner and here is "grandma" with the kids - Kai (he'll be 2 in March), Ethan (4 1/2 already) and Miss Olivia (was 3 in August).

Just heard today that Brian was promoted to E6 and we are all VERY PROUD of him and all his accomplishments!!!

I was truly blessed with two very smart, wonderful children. Happy Thanksgiving to all and God Bless - we have so much to be thankful for with our many blessings!!!

Hopefully I'll get some photos posted in the near future.

Congrats to Angela

Have to make recognition for an awesome job. Angela has been nationally recognized by the College Board for outstanding performance in the Advanced Placement Program (AP Scholar). These awards are based on the scores earned and the number of AP exams taken by each individual student. She earned this as a junior verses a senior which is even more of an amazing accomplishment. We are all very proud of her! ;)

Our Family

Hi - Not sure what I'm doing but will give this a shot. My name is Rene and I have two children - Angela who just turned 18 this month and Brian who has a lovely wife name Danae and three beautiful grandchildren - Ethan, Olivia & Kai. Brian is in the Navy and they live in Silverdale, WA. Angela & I live in Aurora, CO along with our dog Poppy (he's almost 15 years old)- he was originally Brian's dog but once he left home, Poppy became my constant companion. My daughter-in-law is the one that told us about the Blog. It's awesome to be able to see new pictures of my grandchildren all the time. Now I need Danae to give me tips on how I can add photos. That's it for now. Hope to learn more in the coming weeks.
